A Fond Farewell

Julie A has left the British Boxers team (we have 2 Julies). We’ve had the pleasure of having her with us for nearly 2 years, but she’s going to pastures new and we’re all going to miss her terribly. She’s off to do a course in hair dressing for people who have lost hair, either through alopecia or chemotherapy, which is a wonderful thing for her to do and very close to my heart.

When I was first diagnosed with leukaemia 4 years ago I didn’t lose my hair but it thinned out a little, so I’m fascinated to know how the treatment Julie’s going to learn about will help. And can I just say it’s absolutely on point for Julie to be thinking of others all the time? We’re all going out tonight to say goodbye, so I’m going to quiz her about it more.
