Modern Slavery Statement
At British Boxers, we are committed to conducting business with integrity, fairness, and respect for human rights. While we are not legally required to publish a Modern Slavery Statement under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (as our annual turnover is below £36 million), we choose to do so voluntarily – because doing the right thing matters to us.
Our Commitment
Modern slavery, including slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking, is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms and are committed to acting ethically and transparently in all our business dealings and throughout our supply chain.
Supply Chain Responsibility
UK & EU Production: The vast majority of our products are made in the UK and the European Union, where our suppliers are required to adhere to the Working Time Directive and ensure fair wages and safe working conditions.
Far East Production: For the small percentage of our product range manufactured in the Far East, we maintain high standards and have achieved a ‘B’ rating for working conditions – the second-highest tier available – reflecting our commitment to ethical sourcing.
Due Diligence & Policy Implementation
We take steps to ensure modern slavery does not occur within our business or supply chain. This includes:
Verifying the identity and right to work of all employees.
Communicating our zero-tolerance policy to all suppliers and partners.
Including anti-slavery clauses in contracts and expecting our suppliers to hold their own supply chains to the same standards.
Speaking Up
We encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith. If any individual suspects that modern slavery is taking place in any part of our business or supply chain, we encourage them to speak up without fear of retaliation.
