A Happy Anniversary

It was my wedding anniversary this week. 22 years wed and over 28 years being loud, laughing people on nights out. I think this picture above was taken in Revolution bar in Manchester before he moved to Sheffield to do a PHD and I moved to London to be the junior in a fashion buying office. I also think that we just sort of fell together. 3 years of long distance up and down the country every other week because that was the only train fare we could afford. But somehow we kept doing that train journey and we stuck together. We worked on us a lot and stayed through the awful times and the fabulous times too and with a whole heap of shouting, crying, swearing, impatience, patience, laughing and love, we worked.

P.S. He said he thought it looked like I was holding a roll up in the picture. Can I just clarify in case my mother reads this that it’s the label from my beer bottle – I used to like peeling them off. I have no idea why.
