Big Winners of Shopify!

We’ve had a prize! Woo Hoo! Our website is built on the Shopify platform. Since we started we’ve had over 100,000 orders and Shopify have sent us a beautiful boxed prize with a trophy.

I know, I know. It means nothing on one level – it’s marketing for Shopify. They’re hoping people like me will share stories like this one so that they get publicity. I get it. But it also doesn’t mean it’s not a really lovely thing to receive.

For myself as a business owner it’s a real testament to the fabulous team around me and the hard work and dedication they have put in getting us to this point. I’m so proud of all of them.

When I think back to when Darren and I started this business… we were skint, we were struggling to cope with our daughter’s Williams Syndrome diagnosis, we were exhausted taking care of her but we had to find a way to make life easier and having no boss and no added pressure apart from the ones you create yourselves seemed like the way forward for us. It meant there was a level of control that we could bring back to our lives, and receiving this award today has brought it all back.

So many thanks to Shopify for reminding me of that journey, thanks to the wonderful team around me who work so hard and laugh so hard every day, thank you to the 100,000 wonderful people who bought our things and mostly thanks to a very special little girl who inspired our journey and who has grown into an amazing young lady. We’re truly humbled by all of it and couldn’t have done it without you.
