Embrace Change: National Menopause Month Essentials
Emma from our marketing team tells me it’s National Menopause Month. I don’t know about you, but I get a bit fed up with all the national days and months of this and that. There’s one for everything, isn’t there? I found out it was World Leukaemia Day the other day and wondered what I was supposed to do. Was I supposed to wave a flag? Paint a roundabout with picture of a blood test needle?
One year I found out about National Carers Week after it had happened… which I thought was ironic, seeing as I’d been so busy working and caring for my teenager with additional needs that there was no time to even notice that there was something to celebrate. I wrote about this irony in my blog and two ladies from our town who I didn’t even know that well turned up at my house with a massive box of chocolates for me. How lovely is that?!
Anyway, National Menopause Month. A month of it! I don’t even know which bits are menopause, which bits are being knackered from work or caring and which bits are leukaemia. I’m not sure I’m even that bothered! Just get up and crack on, don’t we? That’s all any of us can do. “What do you want Debs, a bloody medal?” “Yes please, that would be nice.”
Anyway, I suppose in the spirit of being helpful and also because I need a tenuous link to marketing, then if you get hot flushes I’d go for our lovely bamboo pieces because they’re anti-wicking and super-cooling. Use the code AUTUMN20 for 20% OFF all our full-priced things too. I’m waving a flag now but everyone’s welcome!
Enjoy!
X Deb
