I have two 15 year old boys working in the warehouse with hair like nests. They are my child and my nephew. Neither of them knew that they both had hair like nests until my nephew came to stay last weekend and they were both delighted with their mutual hair dos (please don'ts) and that parental pressure has been resisted by both of them and they are continuing with the nest chic look. We ribbed our Stan about it in Cornwall a week ago when a big seagull nearly nicked his pasty but decided instead to land on his head.

“It looks comfy,” I explained. “It just needs a rest. Maybe it’ll lay eggs there and have some baby seagulls.”

Nothing. Brown tumble weed bushes rolled past in my mind.

I’m reminded of a time long ago when my retired vicar dad had a Bobby Charlton comb-over and wanted my brother Jonny to cut his long 1980’s heavy metal hair.

“JESUS HAD LONG HAIR, DAD! YOU HAVE LONG HAIR IN THE WIND!” shouted Jonny.

“You’ll never get a job!” replied my dad calmly.

Jonny’s now some sort of senior corporate in a massive geology company. I don’t know what he does. Digging about in sand pits I think. He’s bald now though, so perhaps that helped.

I’ve gone on a massive ramble here. I’m meant to be choosing under pant colours for next Spring.

The Summer Sale’s still on. There’s up to 70% OFF.

Enjoy!
