It’s been a mad busy few weeks at British Boxers. I’m writing this on Monday evening. We’ve been packing orders today that we received last Wednesday and Thursday. So we’re a bit behind… not ludicrously so, but a little behind where we’d ideally like to be. The other thing is that we’re processing returns that came in last Thursday too. So tomorrow we’ll process last Friday’s. Again, in the grand scheme of life it’s OK, isn’t it? It’s not immediate, but it is all happening and we are gradually catching up.

The team have been incredible. You remember Julie who retired in November? I’ve had her back in! Other Julie left in October, and she’s been back in too. I can’t let them go. I said to one of the Julies that it’s like Hotel California – “You can check out anytime you like but you can never leave.”

Somewhere in amongst all of this I remembered I had a blood test booked in. I have a fully treatable and knocked back leaukaemia, but it does need checking every 3 months. I love being busy because it’s not something I have time to dwell on really. It’s just another job to add to the list. I popped up to the local minor injuries hospital to get sorted. I bumped into Keith, who I knew, in the waiting room and we had a ten minute chinwag about holidays and trips that we’ve got booked. Then Kevin walked in with his injured son. They were OK too.

Short-sleeved frock under a jumper (I’m a total professional at blood tests) and I was in and out within a minute. A little rueful perhaps that the best social life moment of that day was spent in a hospital waiting room chatting to Keith and Kev – but hey, you take the wins wherever you can, don’t you? The Winter Sale won’t be around forever, but it’s ticking along nicely at the moment. Discounts are live on the website now, so you don’t need a code.

Hope you’re all OK.

Lots of love to all!
