Rising to a new challenge
A couple of weeks ago and quite out of the blue I was diagnosed with Leukaemia. I’ve been quite relaxed about the diagnosis. It’s OK, in that it’s one that there are meds for which can keep you cracking on for decades, so if I’m going to have to have it then I’m lucky that this is the one I have.
I just need to get used to the meds and learn to pace myself better. In the spirit of this I’ve started leaving work to come home at about 1.30, and when I’m home I’ve started watching the depressing spectacle of daytime TV. Homes Under the Hammer, Escape to Spain and Buy a House with a million quid your aunty left you but none of the houses are good enough (that’s not what it’s called, but I can’t remember the name of it) and my personal favourite, Buy some tat at an antiques fair for £5 and sell it for £6.50 (forgetting about the auctioneers fees and necessary taxes which inevitably mean you’ve made a loss and would have been better staying at home). I need to start reading more, don’t I? That’s my plan!
It seems trite to try and sell you stuff, but because it’s hot we’re talking about short pyjama sets this week. *marketing gold* They’re reduced from £79 to £59.25 in the sale with free delivery and you can get an extra 10% off with the code SUMMER10 if you add it in on the very last page before you check out.
Enjoy the sunshine!
