Ski Sunday is ruined. Surely the best thing about Ski Sunday is the music, but now they’ve faded it into the background with an overlay of swishing ski sounds. It’s awful. All us non-skiers want is a hot chocolate (preferably with a shot of warming booze in it),  possibly a brightly coloured jacket (I’m thinking jade green) with some zig zags from circa 1985, some chalet-styled buildings with festoon lighting and, most importantly, the original theme tune. That’s enough. That’s all we ask. Totally ruined now.

I’m off in a minute to see if I can find the original on Spotify whilst I roast some chicken instead.

The Winter Sale is still on. Check out the Prince of Wales Check collection if you get a chance. There’s too much stock because the photography looks like something out of Elle Decoration, so you can’t see the detail. This is of no reflection on the photographer, art director or the models. They’re all fabulous, but my job on set is to sign everything off and I’ve failed on these. I do remember gossiping with the make-up artist about the time she removed glitter from Keir Starmer’s hair after an activist had flounced some in his direction at a conference. What?! Don’t judge me, it was interesting!

Anyway, I’ll try to paint this fabric in words instead. It’s the most wonderful subtle design in a soft grey and cream, and it’s woven into our luxuriously soft brushed cotton. So if you’re one of the fabulous people who resides in the the half of our customers who prefers our subtle herringbones and softer shades, then you’ll absolutely love these pieces, I promise. AND the whole collection is half price because we’ve got too much of it too! Amazing!

Do you remember when King Charles was Prince of Wales and he slagged off Nicholas Witchell to Prince Harry and Prince William on the ski slopes? It’s a tenuous but slightly relevant tie-in back to the beginning of the blog, so I’m going with it. Gloriously British awkwardness all round.

Anyway, enjoy.
Dooby doo doo doo doo doo doo do.
