Teenagers from the special school hosted a café at the local church today. They had to take our orders and bring us drinks and cakes accordingly. One held the clipboard and took us to our seats, a gregarious child (hand up, she’s ours!) took the orders whilst trying to make everyone laugh and another cleared the plates away. One child spotted someone selling The Big Issue outside the church and took the seller a hot drink and some cake. A morning full of hope, success, meaning and joy. So good to sometimes have that grounding reminder that success isn’t always measured with quantifiable money maths, school grades and Instagram likes. Success can just be an anxious child serving a cake and feeling a hit of happiness from having achieved something that was a big deal to them. It’s been the best morning I’ve had in ages and such a joy of pride all round.

P.S. There’s 20% OFF British Boxers currently, including our lovely boxer shorts, with the code SPRING20 and free UK delivery on all orders over £100.
