I’m jumping on the gift guide band wagon with a few of my favourite things that I’ve spotted. I’m recommending people I know and  businesses I’ve worked with who are great people and also just some lovely things that have caught my eye. Sometimes it’s just easier to have recommendations I think so for the women’s I thought these were all fabulous ideas..

Pressed Flowers Open Flat Makeup Bag – Elizabeth Scarlett We love these so much. The workmanship sits really well alongside our brushed cotton PJs. They’re beautifully designed pieces and so well made too.

 

 

Nice (Christmas) | Be Candles | Becalmed My friend Kate has a shop called BeCalmed in Leek where British Boxers is based and she makes these candles, they’re gorgeous. The whole shop is gorgeous, it has gifts, clothes, antiques, decorations. It’s like an emporium and they’re such kind people too.

 

 

Fused Glass Robin - Folksy These are made by Sarah Myatt who used to do the artisan markets with me when British Boxers first started. They’re beautiful pieces of glass which she hand makes in her studio. They look amazing when the sun shines through them.

 

 

Okatsune Secateurs from Niwaki | Homeward Studio If you have a person who is into gardening then secateurs in a posh box seems good to me. That’s my mum sorted anyway!

I know we all have a mate doing Tropic but Steff’s really nice and once saved me from a manic street preacher at Euston Station when we were students so in my book that makes her a good person to buy from and it is lovely stuff…

 

 

Women's Bamboo Pyjama Set – Jolly Holly Is it a bit off to include your own product in your own gift guide? I’m hoping not. I’ve tried to do in the politest way by sticking it on at the end but these are lovely and they come in matching men’s and kids too..

 

Women's Brushed Cotton Pyjama Set – Gaia Tartan I’ve snuck another one on here. For fans of our brushed cotton our brand new Gaia Tartan is our brand new tartan colourway for Autumn 2025. It’s a really rich dark red, with a lovely sage green mixed into it. It’s woven into our super-soft brushed cotton which you have to try. It’s gorgeous. I named it Gaia because I managed to wangle a few days in Porto last year and whilst Porto is on one side of the river Douro, Gaia is the opposite side and Gaia is where all the port houses are based.nIt was that rich red that drew me in. Also, do you know why all the port houses are British? I learned this when I was there. Apparently it’s because we were fighting the French and we couldn’t get our wine from Bordeaux anymore. So the Portuguese basically said, “We’ll help you batter the French if you take all our wine instead.” But because the Portuguese wine didn’t transport round the Atlantic coast that well in little rowing boats, they fortified it and put it into barrels to make it travel better and that’s what became Port. Amazing!

They’re lovely gifts and blokes can be tricky to buy for can’t they..

 

 

Guided Islay Distillery Experiences – Bespoke Single Malt Whisky Tastings For the man who has everything. This is proper posh but Dave’s a very knowledgeable guy and these tours he runs are incredibly special “once in a lifetime” holidays and events really. As an aside if you have a corporate team, get him in to do a whisky tasting he does those too and they’re fabulous. Your team will love you forever. 

 

 

Men's Green Landrover Printed Silk Hank – I’ve known Richard Harvie and the team at Harvie and Hudson for over 20 years. They’re a proper gentleman’s outfitters down on Jermyn Street in London. They’re really good people. If you’re unsure what to buy a fabulous man in your life than I’d recommend having a look at Harvie and Hudson’s website for ideas. I’ve linked through to a silk Land Rover pocket square because why not, but there’s loads of other great things on their website too.

 

 

A Feast For Foodies Hamper | Cottage Delight I’ve included this because Nigel Cope who founded Cottage Delight used to chat to me when I first started British Boxers and was selling on the market “Keep going” he’d say to me. “Your product is lovely you’ll get into John Lewis and the big stores. Just keep going” I did keep going and I did get into the big stores and I’m forever grateful that even though he was hugely successful himself he’d take the time to come and chat to us all on the Sunday market in Leek. He’s passed away now sadly but I’ll always be grateful to him for those chats.

 

 

Wincle Waller Pale (Alc 3.8%) Specialised Real Ale Box – Wincle Beer Company Wincle is lovely. It’s the tiniest village and by the river Dane you’ll find this brewery. If you check with them first you can go there for a Friday pint which is highly recommended. Opposite them is the Ship Inn and that’s fabulous too. If you want to stay over my friend Alison has an Air B&B. It’s in the middle of nowhere but the walks around there are stunning. A country weekend of beer, good food and walking sounds fabulous. In the meantime a box of beer for a fine bloke (or lady – we’re all friends here) is on the gift guide. 

 

 

I don’t know these people but I love that they’re local to us and they’ve used the bottle shaped clay kilns Stoke on Trent’s skyline is famous for as inspiration for their fancy booze bottles. Sophie on our team says her other half swears by this spiced rum and he’s a top chef so I’d totally trust his opinion on that.. SIXTOWNS Spiced Rum | Premium 70cl Ceramic Bottled Rum
