Christmas Klaxon: 50 Days and Counting!
The 50-days-until-Christmas klaxon is going off.
I’m so sorry. It’s marketing pressure, I have to sell the things we’ve bought, and this is one of the ways to do it. Mild threat. I love the season of goodwill and all the trimmings that go with it. I'm just a bit over it happening for two months of every year. I’d like it to be like the Olympics really – once every 4 years we could get our Christmas Carols on, the gift wrap out and Wallace and Gromit on the telly. That would do me. I mean I wouldn’t have a job or be able to pay the mortgage, but in terms of stress levels… you know what I mean?
We’ve been rehearsing I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday in choir and wearing Santa hats since early October. It’s all a bit much really. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. Trying to sell you luxury sleepwear. I better tell you some things about product.
Right, Gaia is our brand new tartan colourway for Autumn 2025. It’s a really rich dark red, with a lovely sage green mixed into it. It’s woven into our super-soft brushed cotton which you have to try. It’s gorgeous. I named it Gaia because I managed to wangle a few days in Porto last year and whilst Porto is on one side of the river Douro, Gaia is the opposite side and Gaia is where all the port houses are based.
It was that rich red that drew me in. Also, do you know why all the port houses are British? I learned this when I was there. Apparently it’s because we were fighting the French and we couldn’t get our wine from Bordeaux anymore. So the Portuguese basically said, “We’ll help you batter the French if you take all our wine instead.” But because the Portuguese wine didn’t transport round the Atlantic coast that well in little rowing boats, they fortified it and put it into barrels to make it travel better and that’s what became Port. Amazing!
Anyway, we’ve cut this fabric across women’s, men’s and kids so that if you want to do a matching pyjamas thing, you can! This is your moment. The code AUTUMN20 takes 20% OFF all full-priced things on the website this week too.
