Earth Week – Celebrating 'Slow Fashion'
This week is Earth Week, so I wanted to write about ‘slow fashion’ – clothing that you buy and can wear year in, year out and doesn’t fall apart after 3 washes. The climate crisis is making it increasingly more urgent that when we select items to buy, we choose things that are built to last which, quite literally, don’t ‘cost the earth’.
I’ve tried to incorporate this into the nightwear we produce, so in the UK and Europe we make in small production runs. We don’t make huge volumes in the Far East –instead we are producing 40 pieces at a time beautifully, by very skilled people who cut and sew the cloth carefully using every last bit. The other thing I try to do is create pieces that are timeless in design so that you can buy it this year and wear it for years and years to come. That’s really important to me. With that in mind I’d like to introduce our brand new men’s and women’s Armoury Grey loungewear collection to you. PJ sets, Dressing Gowns, Pyjama Shorts and PJ trousers too. They’re made from a gorgeous cotton twill which is lighter than our brushed cotton fabric – perfect for this time of year, and it’s such understated luxury too. It’s a beautiful grey herringbone with Parisian slate grey piping on the pyjamas and dressing gowns.
Classic design which will never date – bringing much happiness for years ahead!
There’s 10% OFF full-priced items this week using the code APRIL10 and a free face mask worth £8.95 on all orders over £30.
Enjoy and Happy Earth Week!
